SABL 2018 Coaching Opportunities

SABL has decided to invest money in individuals that have expressed interest in coaching baseball, softball, both or Quick Ball. The SABL Board of Directors realize that our coaches are our #1 resource. We need to equip our coaches with tools, techniques, drills, etc. to make them the best they and Souderton Area Baseball and Softball can be. We greatly appreciate all that our coaches have done and continue to do for the youth in our organization. Ultimately, if coaches are running effective and efficient practices and games, this will lead to an increase in participant interest and skill development.

All of the SABL Coaches Clinics will be held at the Indian Valley Boys and Girls Club. The address is 115 Washington Avenue, Souderton, PA, 18964. The dates, times, and each session’s focus will be as follows:

Jan 6th - 9 am - 11 am:  Overall practice organization and Infield/Outfield Play
Jan 20th - 1 pm - 3 pm: Softball and Baseball Pitching Fundamentals, How to implement pitching work into practice
Feb 3rd - 12pm-2pm: Hitting Fundamentals/Drills, Full Team Practices while implementing hitting skills
Feb 17th - 1 pm - 3 pm:Throwing Programs for Safety and Strength, Throwing Progressions, Base Running Fundamentals
March 3rd 11am-1pm: Hitting Fundamentals/Drills, Overall Practice Organization
Mar 24th - 1 pm - 3 pm: Infield/Outfield Play, Softball and Baseball Pitching Fundamentals

SABL is investing a considerable amount of revenue into these clinics because we feel that they are that important. This is definitely not a common practice by many, local organizations. These clinics are open to anyone that has interest. We would greatly appreciate it if you could RSVP for the first session scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 9am to 11am. It is important that we have a head count. Please email Gus Baldassano at Gbaldassano@wsdweb.org. if you are interested in coaching- head coach or assistant coach to inform us of your intentions as to baseball, softball, and/or Quick Ball if you have not done so already. Please include what age levels you are interested in.
